This product reminds me of the simple Fisher Price body music box toys, from my youth, with the rope cord effect, originally done by Sankyo. Here, though, the motion of pulling the cord is met with one single percussive effect, per pull. I had initially thought that the percussive sound of the knocker would be louder, and more resonant, but perhaps that comes with attaching it nearby the door’s exterior frame. I only tried out the device, by itself. It’s a bit of a soft wood, I guess, to not make all that much of a knocking sound. Thanks for making this product! It’s really cute.

I will be using a door knocker like this for the first time and I am already impressed. Its all wood and makes pretty good sound when on the door. It base has two double sided tapes. I just hope it holds on to the door and does not come off when someone pulls the string to knock. If it falls, I am sure, it will break.
Overall, its a good knocker to have on the door and could bring smile on everyone’s face. 🙂
